As well as special methods to prevent marring or swirls prior to application. We start with our hand wash treatment. Next, we recommend machine polishing. This will remove swirl and haze from the paint surface. Although this step is not necessary, we recommend this to improve the look of the vehicle. Finally, we apply one of our premium ceramic coating packages.
Truths and Myths
First off, we want to clear up some misconceptions about ceramic coatings. We at R and D Motorsports want to educate you on some of the false claims other companies will try to sell you on. Undoubtable it will add gloss and shine to your vehicle, however it does not prevent scratches and road chips. Many companies will sell on the idea it does. However, the only way to prevent any damage to a vehicle is to use paint protection films. Never the less, cermaic coating can be applied on top of these films for added durability.
The life of ceramic coating products does vary. Once applied they do last a few years. Granted it really depends on how well the vehicle was prepped correctly and how the coating was applied. Additionally, they need maintenance just like any other application product.
